Player Count
3 to 6 players for the pre-built decks games. 3 to infinite players for the booster games.
Objective
The ultimate goal is to win the game. To do so, players need to be the first to accumulate 25 points in several rounds.
The goal of a round is to be the last player standing or have the card with the highest value in hand when the draw deck is over.
Card Categories
- Neutral : these cards have no effect but their value is usually higher than others.
- Attack: Cards that often directly eliminate, disrupt, or pressure other players.
- Info: Cards that reveal hidden information or provide insight.
- Defense: Cards that block, counter, or negate other card effects.
- Chaos: Cards that manipulate game flow, shuffle hands, alter play order… basically anything that can completely change all your plans!
Setting up the game
Before each match:
Cards from decks:
- The shared deck is placed face-down in the center.
Cards from Booster:
- Each player contributes 5 cards to the pool.
- Free play : any cards you want for unique games!
- Classic : pick one card of each category: Attack, Info, Defense, Neutral or Chaos
- Shuffle all submitted cards into a shared card deck (ex: 20 for a 4-player game).
- The shared deck is placed face-down in the center.
Note: players are allowed to write down or count the cards at all time to calculate which ones are remaining in the deck.
Rules et Gameplay
A game has several rounds. A round has several turns.
The flow follows this order:
Games
When a new game starts, all scores are set to 0. Repeat rounds until one of the player reaches 25 points. This player is now the winner. If multiple players reach 20, the youngest player wins. Yes, life isn’t fair.
Rounds
A new round always starts with a deck in the middle of the players. (cf Setting up the game) Each player draws one card that they keep hidden at all time.
A round will be a sequence of player turns until:
- Only one player remains
- The draw pile ran out of cards
Player Turn: The player draws 1 card (they should now have 2 in hand) Choose 1 card to play face-up, and resolve its effect. Once player, the cards stay visible in front of you, face up, so everyone can see it at any time during the game. After all players played a turn, discard the top card of the deck. (cards are kept face down on the table)
Eliminations/Endgame
A player is eliminated from the round if a card effect tells them that they are “out”.
Once eliminated, they stop playing turns for the rest of the round.
If all players except one are eliminated, the round ends.
When the deck runs out, regardless of the number of players eliminated, the round ends. Among the remaining players, the one(s) holding the highest card value are the winner(s) of the round.
The looser(s) of the round are the player(s) who were eliminated first or have the lowest card value if no player was eliminated when the deck was over.
Scoring System
At the end of each round, apply the following:
- Winner(s): +3 points
- Second Place: +1 point
- Looser(s): -1 point
- If several players are tied in any position, they all earn the points
- Everyone can have a bad day: if you lose a round and had 0 point, you remain at 0 point.
